- What do I need to do if I haven’t visited you before?
We welcome visitors at any time, but would recommend that you let us know in advance especially if it’s your first visit, so that we can spend some time showing you around and getting to know you.

- I’m going to need some advice selecting reading scheme material. Do I need to book ahead?
We never guarantee a showroom free of other visitors; but booking ahead if you want to bring a group, or have a particularly detailed or large pick, is always worthwhile.

- With so many books, how easy is it for me to find what I need?
When you’re greeted on arrival, you will always be asked if there’s a particular focus for your visit. If you’re uncertain where to start, one of our team will show you the relevant areas of the showroom. It’s then that we’ll highlight any particularly interesting titles that we feel may be suitable.

- As you’ve only single copies on the shelves, how do I indicate which books I need?
Once you are happy with where things are, and armed with a cup of tea or coffee, we leave you to browse and make your selection. Plastic boxes are available to put the books into – no fiddly slips of paper or scanners to deal with. At all times during your visit we’ll be on hand to answer any queries and then when you want to confirm your selection we’ll carry your boxes to the computer, scan them and let you know how much it comes to.

- I don’t drive. Can I get to you using public transport?
We’re very near bus routes and
about 15 minutes walk from the nearest railway station. If
you are travelling by train let us know your eta and someone will be
there to collect you. There are further details in the how to
find us section of our website.

- When is the showroom open?
We’re open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, throughout the school holidays too. Weekends and public holidays are the only times we’re closed.

- I’ve heard you’re open on Saturdays. Is this a regular thing?
Although as a rule we’re closed at the weekend, we do have a special once-a-term Saturday when we open from 10am to 4pm. Ask to be kept informed by email, or bookmark our homepage to keep an eye out for information about the next one.

- I can only visit after work. Is it worthwhile visiting?
Yes, even a short visit can be very rewarding. However, as long we’re contacted a few days ahead we are very happy to stay open later especially for you.

- Our school will be moving to the International Baccalaureate. Can you provide books that are suitable?
Yes, all IB appropriate textbooks have a spine label to make it easier to locate them. One of our team will point them out to you when you visit. Many of our library titles suit the IB as well.

- We have a variety of native languages in our school. Do you have dual language titles on display?
Although we don’t have every title in every language on display, we aim to have a representation of every title produced by Mantra, Milet, B Small and many other publishers in our dual language section. It is worth noting here that as long as a book is in print we should be able to supply it for you.

- It’s wonderful to have such a range of books to select from, but I’ve a budget to consider. What discount do you offer?
We're aware of companies whose discount changes monthly, or even daily in the case of some on-line suppliers. Our discounts are both consistent and competitive, with an across-the-board 20% on library publishing and range of extra offers available. For all academic and text book titles we'll be able to offer discounts between 10 and 20%, dependent on the quantity of each title requested and publisher concerned.
This consistency coupled with the added benefits of our advice and service should assure you that we are the best option.
